. UNS S31803 is a duplex stainless steel grade. It owns the combined characteristic of austenitic and ferritic steel:

a Excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environment
a High resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion
a Good resistance to erosion corrosion and corrosion fatigue
a Very high mechanical strength
a Good weldability


S31803 has the excellent corrosion property, so it is a highly suitable material for service under grim environment, containing chlorides and hydrogen sulphide.
