We are engaged in exporting, manufacturing and supplying of Banana Slices in Wayanad, Kerala, India. The banana is an edible fruit, botanically a berry, produced by several kinds of large herbaceous, flowering plants in the genus Musa. In some countries, bananas used for cooking may be called plantains. The fruit is variable in size, color, and firmness, but is usually elongated and curved, with soft flesh rich in starch covered with a rind which may be green, yellow, red, purple, or brown when ripe. The fruits grow in clusters hanging from the top of the plant. Almost all modern edible parthenocarpic (seedless) bananas come from two wild species a Musa acuminata and Musa balbisiana. The scientific names of most cultivated bananas are Musa acuminata, Musa balbisiana, and Musa A paradisiaca for the hybrid Musa acuminata A M. balbisiana, depending on their genomic constitution. The old scientific name Musa sapientum is no longer used. Raw bananas are 75% water, 23% carbohydrates, including 12% sugars, 1% protein and 0.3% fat, providing 89 Calories (kcal) per 100 gram amount (table). Bananas are an excellent source (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) of vitamin B6 (31% DV) and contain moderate amounts of manganese (13% DV), vitamin C and dietary fiber (10% DV each, table). Bananas are a staple starch for many tropical populations. Depending upon cultivar and ripeness, the flesh can vary in taste from starchy to sweet, and texture from firm to mushy.
