Bilcef Ceftriaxone Sodium For Injection Usp

Ceftriaxone is third generation Cephalosporin antibacterial.
The antimicrobial spectrum covers susceptible gram positive, gram negative and some anaerobic pathogens.

COMPOSITION:
Each Vial Contains:
Sterile Ceftriaxone Sodium U.S.P. equivalent to anhydrous Ceftriaxone 1.0 gm.

INDICATIONS:
Ceftriaxone is indicated for the treatment of wide variety of infections caused by sensitive gram positive, gram negative and anaerobic organisms.
This drug has high potential application in septicemia, serious bone and joint infections, some lower respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections and some soft tissue infections caused by sensitive pathogens.
Respiratory tract infections ( Broncho-pneumonia, Pneumonia)
Uro-genital tract infections (Metritis, Nephritis, Pyometra, Cystitis)
Visceral infections and peritonitis
Gastro-intestinal tract infections (Calf scourts, Enteritis, Diarrhoea)
Bacterial septicemia
Mastitis
Meningitis
Skin & Soft tissue infections
Pre-operative prophylaxis

Product Action:
Ceftriaxone is primarily bactericidal in action. Its action results from inhibition of mucopeptide synthesis in the bacterial cell wall.
