The high-performance Durco TX3 triple offset butterfly valve uses a camming action which reduces the possibility of galling or scratching the sealing surfaces on the disc and seat. The elliptical sealing surfaces do not contact until the final closed position only, and upon opening, all contact points are released immediately from the seat ring. This provides an effective bubble tight seal, with low operating torque and extended service life. The TX3 is offered with multiple options, such as body and trim materials, fire-safe stem packing, solid metal seats and cryogenic extensions to meet requirements for a wide range of industry applications.
