It can be dissolved in water and some organic solvent such as ethanol, ethylene chloride,the water solution is of surface activity,It is a nonionic surface active agent, Gelation temperature is different for different grades.

D. Cosmetic : According to properties of HPMC, it can be used as thickening agent, emulsification reagent, suspending reagent, stabilizing reagent, water retention reagent, rheological behavior reagent, This can be used in all kinds of cosmetic products.
