Physical Properties - It is white, grey and yellowish coloured, fine grained amorphous mineral with dull to earthy luster. It is soft having hardness 2.0 to 2.5; easily crumbles to powder and soils figure, sp.gr. 2.61 to 2.68.

Mode of Occurrence - Generally occurs as bedded and pocket deposit.

Uses - Depending upon plasticity & shrinkage, it is used in different industries.
