Swivel lock quickly convert swivel casters to rigid casters for straight-line tracking. A spring-loaded, hand operated plunger is engaged to fit into slots on the swivel raceway. To engage the lock, simply pull out plunger and return until spring action inserts plunger in notches on raceway. To disengage the lock, simply pull out plunger ans turn so plunger is not inserted in notches on raceway, Colson offer 3 types of hand operated swivel locks.

1. Welded Swivel Locks:
These welded swivel locks are factory installed only. They lock in 90A intervals on 4,5,and 6 series and 180A intervals on 7 series.

2. Bolt-On Swivel Locks:
The bolt-on swivel locks are field installed only, but require that the fork yoke base have the notches at 90A intervals. Available on 4-6 series casters.

3. Kingpinless Swivel Locks:
Kingpinless casters already have the notches in the raceway, so it is possible to field install. They lock in 90A intervals. Simply bolt swivel lock on when you install on equipment. Available on 4,6,7 and 8 series casters.
