In comparison, most commercial soaps use tallow or animal fat base for product manufacturing. After making the basic soap, a machine is used where installed sets of rollers flatten it paper thin. Most of the natural glycerine is removed for profit in the process. The soap piece is then shredded and goes through an extrusion process that squeezes out a long bar of tightly compacted soap flakes. These are then cut into bars of varying soap sizes.
