Er4043 Aluminum Welding Rod

This alloy is recommended for welding 3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063 and casting alloys 43,335,356 and 214. Our aluminium brazing alloy ER4043 has a melting rang of 573-632a and a density of .097 lbs./cu.in. The post anodizing color tint of the weld area is gray.

FEATURES:
ER4043 belongs to an aluminium brazing alloy with 5% silicon. It is suitable for brazing 6000 series aluminium alloy, 2000 series heat treatment alloy, and cast aluminium. It has good fluidity and excellent anti--thermal crack ability, but low ductility and toughness. After anodized, the 4043 filler metal would be grey, and grown dark than base metal. When brazing 5000 series Al-Mg alloy with 4043, it is easy to form fragile Mg2Si compound, and make ductility and corrosion resistance lower. So it is not suitable for brazing al-Mg alloy. When brazing 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, the tensile strength would be 167 Mpa above.
