Secure Secure is a novel combination of various specialized herbs, that resist and sustain the Tea Bushes against "Helopeltis". Tea Mosquito bug (Helopeltis theivora) has been a dreaded Tea Mosquito bug (Helopeltistheivora) and destructive polyphagous sucking-pest of Tea in North East India affecting more than 80% of the area under tea plantation. Besides Tea, it also attacks Cashew, Guava, Mango, Jasminum, Micania, Acalypha, Durranta etc. Helopeltis attack is severe during May-September causing substantial loss of yield to the extent of 60%. If not controlled they can cause a total loss of crop. Intencity of infestation is increasing day by day due to its capability to develop resistance quickly against frequently used insecticides, their high reproduction potential polyphagous in nature. On the contrary large scale and indiscriminate use of residual chemicals like Organochlorines, Organo phosphorous, Synthetic pyretheroids and Neonecotinoids has caused economical and ecological hazards by (i) developing resistant strains (21 to 40%), (ii) causing frequent outbreak of pest, (iii) by emergence of new pests & (iv) incurring environmental pollution and health hazards. All these have poised a great problem in controlling the pest in the entire tea growing areas of India. In order to search for an environmentally safe alternative to these menace Shakti Biotech has made an approach to launch a "Bio-controller" of plant origin to replace the harmful residual chemical pesticides.
