The advantages of HIGHLY
PURIFIED hCG :

Highly purified PUBERGENHP
is having specific
activity of >15000 I.U. of hCG in one mg. of protein.
Highly purified hCG stimulates Hyaluronic Acid
synthesis, cumulus expansion and better ovulation.
PUBERGENHP can be administered by
subcutaneous route because of high purification and
negligible protein content.
Because of high purification, there is least chances of
adverse reaction and empty follicle phenomena with
PUBERGEN HP.
 
INDICATIONS
:
In
Females: To induce ovulation, Primary/ Secondary Amenorrhora, Habitual/
Recurrent abortions, To maitain luteal function.
In Males: Oligospermia, Asthenosperimia,
Hypogonadotropoc Hypogonadism, Cryptorchidism
ACTIONS:
The action of PUBERGEN-
HP (hCG) is virtually identical to that of pituitary LH, although hCG
appears to have a small degree of FSH activity as well.
INFEMALE INFERTILITY:


hCG maintains the corpus luteum to produce progesterone
Acts on corpus luteum to maintain luteal function
Induces ovulation
Maintain luteal functions Helps in conception
IN MALE INFERTILITY:

Stimulates the interstitial cells (Leydig cells) of the testes to
produce androgens
Helps release of ICSH (Interstitial Cell Stimulating Hormone)
Helps in spermatogenesis Induces testicular descent Helps in Hypogonadotrophic
Hypogonadism



DOSAGE :
Females:
To induce ovulation : 5000-10000
I.U. one injection on 12th day of menstural cycle, or when the graafian
follicle attains a size>18mm.
Habitual/Recurrent
abortions : Once pregnancy is confirmed, inject 5000 I.U. of
PUBERGEN HP per day on three alternate days. From the 9th day of the
first injection, 2000 I.U. twice a week, till the 14th week of pregnancy.
Males:
5000 I.U. twice weekly, for 12 weeks & may have to be continued even
upto to 1 year to improve semen quality.  
CONTRAINDICATIONS :

 
Precocious puberty, prostatic
carcinoma, or other
androgen dependent neoplasia , prior allergic
reaction to chorionic gonadotrophin . In OHSS cases
withhold the dose of PUBERGEN -HP for LH surge.
PRECAUTIONS :

 
hCG should be used by
physicians familiar with infertility problems. The principle reactions
during the use are : Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, Ovarian enlargement,
multiple births. Induction of Androgen secretion by chorionic gonadotrophin
may induce precocious puberty in patient with Cryptorchidism.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:



Headache, irritability, edema, restlessness,
depression , tiredness, precocious puberty,
gynaecomastia & pain at the site of injection.

STORAGE:



To
be stored under refrigeration between 20C to 80C. Do not
freeze.

: Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule solvent.
PUBERGEN HP 5000 I.U. : Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule
solvent.
PUBERGEN HP 10000 I.U. : Box containing 1 ampoule of hCG & 1 ampoule
solvent.
