Further, this process is the most recent and advanced process. This process is majorly used in small castings and has also been utilized for aluminum castings and steel castings. Complicated shapes can be produced, which would have been difficult by the process of die casting.Process: (a) Make a master pattern: A pattern is created by a mould-maker from clay, wood or any other material (b) Moulding: Master die is created from the master pattern. Steel or wood can be used for creating master pattern. Further, when a steel pattern is created in that case low-melting-point metal might be cast from the main pattern. (c) Wax patterns are produced: Frozen mercury and plastic are used in this step. There are two ways of producing wax patterns. In the first process, wax is poured into the container and is swished, until an even coating is formed on the inner surface of the container. This step is repeated until the desired level of thickness is achieved. Second method, is to fill the entire container with molten wax and is allowed to cool until the thickness increases. After container is turned upside down and wax comes out and is allowed to cool down. (d) Wax patterns are assembled: Wax pattern is taken out from the container. Many wax patterns can be created, to ensure all can be cast at the same time. Various wax patterns can be created and made into single complex pattern. Heated metal is used to attach wax patterns to the sprue. Once, the other imperfections are removed, wax becomes the end product. (e) Investment: This produced by three steps stuccoing hardening and coating (f) Dewax: Once the investment is dried, within 16 to 48 hours. Drying can be done by vacuum or other environmental factors. (g)Burnout & preheating: The container is subjected to burnout, where container is heated between 870A A C and 1095A A C to remove moisture. (h)Pouring : Investment mold is placed in the tub filed with sand to remove the impurities (I) Removal: Shell is chemically dissolved to remove the casting
