Mill Drive

Mill Drive Rolling mill drive mechanism is preferably desirable for shaping and rolling the workpieces with precision and accuracy in shape and finishes. Hot Rolling Mill works on the principle of above recrystallizing temperature and guarantees optimal processing of metal as well as ensuring excellent properties of metallic elements. Flywheels characterizes an efficient energy storage system in order to assure of excellent power density, greater efficiency, and longer life than electrochemical batteries. The volume of energy stored in a flywheel is proportionate to the magnitude of its rotational speed.  The flywheel is attractive from an energy storage perspective for a number of reasons. It is a relatively simple device from which it is possible to store and abstract energy readily, either by mechanical means or by using electric motors and generators. In theory, high power generation rates are possible and there are no inherent limitations on the number of charge and discharge cycles that can be used. A flywheel is a simple device to store and obtain power through application of torque, as a result improving rotational speed.   Reduction Gear Box:  A gear box is incorporated with system for shifting energy from one device to another including flywheel to the pinion stand. The gear box is preferred for enhancing torque while lowering down the speed.  Pinion Stand:  Other than the reduction gear box, the pinion stand is meant to the transmission of power from main mover to rolls of the mills, and inclusion of pinion stand like 2-Hi or 3-Hi depends on the number of rolls connected to the rolling stand. The function of the pinion stand is to transfer the energy from the mill stand to the gear box.  Gear Box-Cum-Pinion Stand:  A gear box-cum-pinion stand is a joint of the gearbox and the pinion stand in one set of housing.
