Apart from use in milling operations, it also got application in jig boring, grinding and shaping jobs. Milling machine vice are manufactured from close grained 20-22 grade cast iron. Vice jaws are made from soft and ground steel which allow the work piece to be held dead square without use of any packing. This not only improves efficiency and life of jaws but also helps reduce strain on vice body.
