Another remarkable feature is in its specialized design which converts the RI pin(pin #9) of DB-9 connector into a power of external power adapter, providing power to the external devices as needed. This feature can be fully exploited when connecting small peripherals such as cashregisters, barcode readers, or receipt printers to systems like PC POS.
