THE MAJOR BENEFIT OF USING POLYSTEEL IDLERS/ROLLERS OVER M.S / M.S COATED WITH RUBBER ARE :
1) The wear & abrasion resistance property of UHMWPE is far better then any other material.
2) The co-efficient of friction of a POLYSTEEL'is 0.1 which is very low compared to /M.S & RUBBER hence belt can glide very easily without any extra effort at drive & driven ends of pulleys whereas in M.S /M.S RUBBER LINED rollers effort required would be more as friction between M.S & rubber belt or RUBBER To RUBBER belt would be more.
3) Due to very fine abrasives chipping will not be done as it is highly abrasion resistance compared to any other material & also best suited material for fine abrasives for more data please refer the comparison of UHMWPE with other materials in our general catalog.
4) Best suited for harsh environments
5) It is UV stabilized & hence can be continuously used in hot sunny conditions without any crack formation due to UV rays.
6) Chemical resistant & hence can be used in chemical plants & fertilizers.
7) As it has a NON-STICK property material will not hold on the rollers which happens generally in GYPSUM, ROCK PHOSPHATE, UREA etc plants due to which misaligning of belt may take place if material gets stucked on rollers.
