Pressure Flow Packed Bed

The set-up consists of a glass column packed with packing material i.e. Rasching rings, SS mesh to support the packing and with calming section. Pressure drop across packed bed can be measured by manometer. The set-up studies in packed bed characteristics and relationship between the velocity of the fluid and pressure drop per unit length. The apparatus is close circuit type provided with tank, Pump, necessary piping and valves and Rotameter to measure the flow rate of fluid. The set-up is fitted on a MS frame and painted with good quality paint.
