Hardness The hardness of hard anodized drums is 495 - 534 BHN and increases towards inside. Coating Thickness The coating thickness of hard anodized drums is high and reaches upto 75 -100 microns. Anti Abrasion The hard anodized drums have excellent anti - abrasion characteristics compared to Mild Steel and Hard Chrome plated drums. Coefficient of Friction Coefficient of friction for hard anodized drums is low because the surface layer is porous and only the tipped part of it comes into contact with the running yarn.
