Maximum effective holding is only achieved by direct contact with an equal area of north and south poles with minimum possible area over non-magnetic gap material. These are also operated on 2 coils system connected is series. These are special chucks suitable for operation of small or thin components. These are also energized with multi energetic coils of 45mm pole pitch. Each pole is again subdivided by fine lamination of 5mm to 6mm thick dead mild steel poles with 1 to 1-2 mm.
