Grain: interlocked, with a coarse texture and fairly large and open pores. With age and exposure to sunlight, it turns deep maroon. Quartersawn wood features a pronounced ribbon stripe. Sapwood never reaches market. - Country of origin: Lao People's Democratic Republic - UV coating will be 30 to 35 % glossy (for finished flooring) - The moisture content is 8-12% - A-Grade on top surface, the slight scattered and concentrated sound knots are acceptable. B-Grade on bottom surface, dead-knots are acceptable - Defect such as unsound knots, end splits, warp, bend, cupping, pin holes, insect/worm holes, undersized, rough, sticky are not acceptable. - Camber must not be more 3 mm measuring from center of length.
