RG6 cable's insulation and shielding are tailor-made for high-frequency, high-bandwidth applications like satellite TV, the Internet, and cable TV. If a user needs cable but isn't sure which one to acquire, RG6 is the best bet. Broadband Internet, Cable TV, or TV Antennas all require RG6. For most analog video signals, including those used in CCTV systems, RG 59 is the best cable to use. Since satellite and internet transmissions operate at higher frequencies than standard analog television, a more efficient coaxial cable was required when TV broadcasts went digital and cable providers began making the transition. RG6 cable was developed specifically to meet these needs. RG 6 is the way to go if the apparatus operates at or above 50 MHz. Use RG 59 if the frequencies are lower than that.
