Q. How do you install a folding gate?

Answer

The entryway or opening's height and breadth should be measured first. Make sure the gate you choose is a little broader than your entryway. Purchase a folding gate that is 12–14 feet wide if your entryway is 12 feet wide. Place the gate upright to start the installation process. The Folding Security Gate should be held 1 14 " from the wall. Mark the area on the floor where the drop pin's hole will be on it. Drill a 3" hole into the earth using a 34" drill bit. Remove all of the dust and dirt from the hole. The bottom gate pin should be inserted into the floor hole with the bearing washer above it. Make sure the gate swings away from the door opening so that, when not in use, it does not obstruct pedestrian traffic. Once certain, mark the location for the bracket's mounting and hang the "L" bracket on top of the gate. Make pilot holes in the wall or door frame. Make use of concrete screws or 5/16" x 2" lag bolts to secure the gate to the entrance via the "L" bracket. Verify that the gate is still flat. Repeat the technique on the other side for fixed double-folding security gates. Extend the gate and line it with the locking bar if the security gate is a fixed single folding security gate. Place the locking bar on the wall or door frame across from you. To attach the locking bar using 5/16" x 2" lag bolts or concrete screws, mark and drill holes. Holes for center drop pins must be bored in fixed double-folding security gates. Extend the gates' two halves collectively to the opening's center. Collapse the gate, mark the floor, and drop the middle drop pin. Drill a 3" deep hole with a 34" drill bit. For each subsequent drop pin, repeat this procedure. Now that it has been installed, your folding security gate is ready for usage.
