Except for the Lunch Bowl lids, which can lose their silicone seal if washed in the dishwasher, all of these items are dishwasher safe. The lack of odor and stain retention makes them preferable to plastic. There was never any expectation that the tiffins would be completely watertight. Soups and sauces can be transported safely in tiffins so long as they are not violently disturbed or turned upside down.
