Q. Is Amikacin treatment safe in pregnancy?
Answer
No. Amikacin is harmful to the fetus. So unless there are no other safer options it should never be used during pregnancy. However it has not been proven if it enters breast milk. However it is recommended to be cautious before using it while breast feeding.
