Phenyl is a germicide popularly known as disinfectant. It is designed for killings germs or disinfecting bathrooms, hospitals, nursing homes, toilets, drains and lavatory among others. For killing bed bugs, formulations like pyrethrins and pyrethroid are best suited. Both these compounds are most commonly used for controlling the proliferation of bed bugs. These compounds also neutralize eggs laid by bugs. Bleach is another compound that is effective against bed bugs. It contains sodium hypochlorite which breaks down proteins to paralyse the normal body functions of bed bugs and eventually kill them
