No life threatening side-effects have been recorded due to Cefuroxime intake. However the nonfatal side effects of Cefuroxime are difficulty in breathing, swelling in the face or throat. Severe side-effects meanwhile include, severe skin reaction, fever, sore throat, burning in the eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling, severe stomach pain, and diarrhea.
