Q. What is the difference between RO and a Uf membrane?

Answer

The RO and UF processes both need membranes. The primary distinction between the two is in the dimensions of the filtering holes. The pores that act as filters inside a RO membrane are just so small that they can remove individual molecules of salt from the water they pass through. Due to the increased size of the pores in the Uf membrane, it is unable to successfully filter away salt molecules. UF water purifiers can destroy and remove germs and bacteria, but they are unable to remove dissolved particles from the water. It is unable, in contrast to a RO water purifier, to transform hard water into soft water.
