Key Features
Injection Molding:-
A melt temperature of 210-270 C is recommended.
A mold temperature of 40-70 C is recommended.
Extrusion :-
Extrusion temperature : from 210 to 240 C
L/D ratio of 25-30 recommended
Drying before processing is highly recommended : moisture content should be a maximum of 0.2%.
The maximum permissible drying temperatures lie in the range of about 80 to 110 C.
PA6 is thermally stable up to 310 C, but above decomposition accelerates, the initial products formed
Being mainly carbon monoxide and ammonia, and caprolactam.
