Acute Otitis Media Ciprofloxaoin & Dexamethasone Eye/ear Drops Ciplox-d Age Group: Infants

Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa cause Acute Otitis Media (AOM) with tympanostomy tubes. Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa cause Acute Otitis Externa (AOE). Every 4a 6 hours, one or two doses of CIPLOX-D Eye/Ear Drops should be injected into the conjunctival sac. A history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone, or any other component of the drug precludes its usage. The use of ciprofloxacin may also be contraindicated if you have a history of allergy. Herpes simplex and other viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva, fungal disease, ocular tuberculosis, untreated purulent infections, patients with a history of acute epithelial herpes simplex keratitis, and hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation are all contraindications to using it. In viral infections of the external canal, such as herpes simplex and fungal otic infections, use is contraindicated.
