Our range of butyl sealant is a polyisobutylene-based material as a single component, solvent-free, permanent plastic primary sealant for insulating glass. Because of its excellent UV resistance, good air tightness, low water vapor transmission, constitutes a superior moisture resistance and inert gas exchange system together with other flexible sealant (second sealing sealants like polysulfide, silicone, etc.), to protect the life of insulating glass.
. Special Note:
(1). This product is thermoplastic material, please pay special attention to shorten the time of the aluminum spacer coated with the sealant with glass pieces to ensure a good bond with the glass early in low winter temperatures.
(2). The product may be incompatible with some silicone sealant (silicone sealant for second sealing in insulating glass, silicone for doors and windows, silicone for wall), compatibility test should be carried out.
3. Storage and Transportationi
HOT insulating glass butyl sealant is the primary insulating glass hot melt sealant, should be stored in a cool dry place, storage shelf life of two years, storage in the environment at 10-20a for 10 -15 days before using to ensure the same temperature inside and outside, especially in the winter. It is non-dangerous, applicable to all transportation.
