Preservation of properties within very narrow limits. Very small concentrations are required Freeze - thaw stabilization. It has better resistance towards micro - organisms that any unmodified natural products. It is colourless & odourless . It is easily soluble, even in cold water Binding and thickening Suspending and stabilizing. Emulsifying Forming protective film Improving rheological properties. Preventing growth if crystals. Preventing synersis of starch containing products.   Application CERAMICS INDUSTRIES: In the ceramic industries CMC finds use as stabilizer and binder for glazes for improving green strength of moulded, thrown or slipeast bodies as secondary binders for various speciality product, like refrectory trowelling compound and as an organic prsticider for casting slips.
