The shell is ERW pipes or is rolled from tested pipes. The shell dia varies from 8" to 25". The length varies from 5' to 12'. Tub sheets are fabricated to carbon steel of adequate thickness. Proper selections of tube side passes arrangement ensure optimum refrigerant velocity.
