Cold Work Tool Steel Plate D3

We are instrumental in exporting Cold Work Tool Steel Plate D3 which is a high-carbon, high-chromium, oil-hardening tool steel that is characterized by a relatively high attainable hardness and numerous, large, chromium-rich alloy carbides in the microstructure. These carbides provide good resistance to wear from sliding contact with other metals and abrasive materials.

Features:-
Cold work Tool Steel D3 exhibits excellent stability in heat treatment, holding size almost as well as the air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium die steels such as D2.

Heat treatment:-
Annealed(+A): max 255HB
Quenching: cold woke tool steel Steel D3 Hardening quenching temperature is 968 a , using oil cooling, and ita s hardness min is 61 HRC.
Tempering: The cold work tool steel D3 general tempering temperature is 204A C , Double tempering of Double tempering of D3 is recommended.

Application:
1. Suitable for making aluminum extrusions of hot extrusion die and mandrel
2. Cast moulds for aluminum and zinc alloy, extrusion moulds, hot-forging moulds.
3. Forming rolls, drawing dies, forming, powder compaction tooling, and lamination dies.
