Zymecon P is generally used to treat digestive disorders and the appropriate digestion of starch or carbohydrate in the stomach into a simpler form of sugar/carbohydrate. It also works as an appetite stimulant (increases hunger) and relieves acid indigestion (heartburn), flatulence (gas), epigastric discomfort (upper abdominal pain), and eructation (burping). Zymecon P can also be used to treat other digestive problems such as pancreatic insufficiency (the inability to generate pancreatic enzymes) and stomach pain.
