Dehradun Tour

Dehradun is the capital city of the state of Uttaranchal. Centrally located in the Doon Valley, the city lies at a distance of 235 km from Delhi. Dehradun forms a part of the Garhwal Himalayan region which was initially ruled by the Katyuri dynasty. Sikhs and Mughals were the subsequent rulers of the region. Later, the Gurkhas of Nepal took hold, before it finally fell into the hands of the British. Today, the city has become a favourite haunt of tourers and vacationers from far and wide. The colonial flavour still hovers all around the city, giving it a charm of its own. The bustling city also boasts a number of Government institutes. There numerous high schools and students in uniforms can be seen around the city. Some of the high schools of the city are as old as 100 years. People are warm and sociable and overall atmosphere is of peace and beauty.
