General Specifications
Pex-b pipes with oxygen barrier are used as heating pipes on hot
water lines. Polyethylenes do not show resistance against hot fluids
by their normal structure. When the chain structure is converted to
crosslink structure they retrieve very high temperature resistance
character. Their structures are then converted to thermoset structure
which is not recyclable from recyclable thermoplastic structure.
PEXs have four types. Obtained by PEX-a proxide method, PEX-b
silane method, PEX-c irradiation method and PEX-d nitrogen method.
The difference among these types is only the crosslink rate required
by the standard. These differences are mechanically determined to
ensure durability. PEX-a as being the first production
method, it is an hard process. It is not preferred on the new
investment. PEX-b is the silane method. Agent molecules in
between the chains are placed and these agents form the Carbon joints
by different chains on steam cure application. Process is the most
preferred method as being completed in the company by all its phases.
It continues to be crosslink during usage on hot water tracks.PEX-c
is the irradiation method. Hydrogen atoms are extracted from carbon
atoms by the beams and the chains are cross linked by the combination
with the hydrogen on the other chain. Irradiation operations as being
on other places out of production, transportation costs increases the
product price. There are two different irradiation methods as being
gamma radiation and electron bombardment. When the irradiation dose
could not be arranged well chains can get damaged. The products
changes color and becomes rigid. Because the gamma radiation kills
the bacteria, the product is sterilized. It is preferred on sanitary
system tracks by this characteristic. PEX-d is obtained by
the nitrogen method. It can not be found on the market as it can not
outclass in the competition conditions. As the PEX pipes
become thermo set their welding ability is removed. Metal connection
elements are used for connection. Metal connection elements are
ringed union type which do not require additional equipment. During
the compression of union with wrench, the ring fitted on pipe thread
ensures impermeability by compressing the pipe with the conic
structure of the union. Europe uses the ring system in addition.
Electric compression tool investment is necessary for this method.
But it does not have any superiority over the union system.

Production Specifications
PEX pipes are produced on extruder production tracks. Products are
packed as 160 m coils. Placed inside steam tanks as PEX-b type coils
and cure is applied for 10 hours. It reaches %65 crosslink value on
chain structures. Product reaching this value is consigned. Metal
connection parts are designed in the company and produced in
sub-industry.

It can be mounted easily without need of any tool with
unions.
It can be furnished in a short while and without loss as
being 160 m coil.
No corrosion.
Its diameter does not become narrow by reacting with
minerals.
