Physical and chemical properties:

Crystal powder in pale pink to pale brown, colorless, sweet first and then hot, no chemical change in the air. Atmospherically sublimation temperature over 76a .Easily to decarboxylate and change into phenol and dioxide when heated atmospherically. Freely soluble in alcohol and in solvent ether, soluble in boiling water, sparingly soluble in chloroform, slightly soluble in water. Its aqueous solution appears acid reaction, becomes purple with FeCl3

Usage:
The product is material of medicine, perfume, dyestuff, pesticide and rubber additives. Chiefly it is used to manufacture the medicine of fever-ayyaying and analgesics for fever, direct dyestuff, insecticide and absorbent of ultraviolet ray.
