This third generation of Duval Messien range uses this technology to force lightning strike to follow predetermined path towards earthing system. As opposed to simple Rod Lightining Conductor, this Satelit 3 concept consists of polarizing lightning conductor tip with voltage of between 35kV and 45 kV. Synchronised with progress of descending tracer and triggering an anticipated start for ascending tracer.
