Metallurgical Coke made from very high end coking coal, generally sourced from qualitative mines of foreign origins. Such a coal is carbonized in sophisticated coke oven batteries at very high temperatures, thereby extracting bye products and gases, leaving behind Low Ash Metallurgical Coke. [LAM Coke].

LAM Coke, due to high Carbon contents have a great Heat Value, makes it suitable for extreme metallurgical operations.



This Coke is used as a fuel and as a reducing agent in smelting iron ore in a blast furnace. It is there to reduce the iron oxide (hematite) in order to collect iron.
