An antibiotic called moxifloxacin 0.5 percent eye drop is used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes. By preventing the spread of the harmful germs, it reduces the infection's symptoms.

Do not contact the eye while holding the dropper in close proximity. Place the medication inside the lower eyelid by giving the dropper a light squeeze. Wipe away any extra liquid.
