Nitroglycrin Injection Usp 5mg is a clear, colorless to yellowish and non-pyrogenic solution for intravenous administration. It is available in vials as well as pre-filled syringes. Nitroglycrin is indicated for the management of coronary artery vasospasm especially when associated with acute myocardial infarction; to relieve angina pectoris due to coronary artery spasm; to relieve acute episodes of pulmonary congestion of cardiac origin accompanied by symptoms of dyspnea, chest pain or orthopnea (difficulty breathing or discomfort lying down); and in the treatment of hypertensive emergencies when these are accompanied by acute ischemic heart disease or left ventricular dysfunction.
