The Non-ferrous Metals Dept. is engaged in the recycling of aluminum, copper, zinc lead, etc. There is huge demand for these metals in Japan. In aluminum can recycling, for example, we are bringing our international organizing capabilities into full play in recovery and processing of raw materials, inventory control and supply of products. We are also vigorously introducing new facilities to meet demand from operators of aluminum-rolling plant.

Moreover, in accordance with the Basel Convention, Hanwa imports waste materials that are not recycled overseas and recovers non-ferrous metals from them. For this business, we have already established links with factories in Southeast Asia. Through effective recycling of metal resources, Hanwa is contributing to protection of the global environment.
