Olopatadine is an antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of itching or watery eyes. Olopatadine eye drops are used to treat itching, burning, redness, watering, and other eye symptoms caused by allergic conditions.

Olopatadine belongs to the group of medicines called antihistamines. Olopatadine e/d is used to treat seasonal, allergic conjunctivitis, which is an inflammation of the eye due to pollens that cause an allergic response to give watery, itchy, and/or red eyes.
