Optical Brightener Masterbatches are added in polymers to reduce yellowing, improved whiteness, and to enhance the brightness of a product. The objectives of Calco Polychem's OB Masterbatch are:

Improvement of initial color of plastics which are inherently often slightly yellowish
Production of brilliant white end use articles
Increase of the brilliancy of colored and white pigment articles

This optical brightening masterbatch works with low levels from 0.1 - 4%. At high loading a blue tinge is seen on the film. This masterbatch contains primary and secondary antioxidants.
