This Sona Masoori, also known as the "Pearls of South India," is an aromatic and light medium-grained rice. Its delicate flavor makes it an excellent addition to Pongal, coconut rice, steamed rice, or as a side dish to South Indian curries. Sona Masoori is medium-grain rice that is a cross between the Sona and Masoori rice species. Individually, both of these species are noted for their distinct aromas, nutrition, and tenderness. The most prevalent form of the aforementioned rice has medium-sized grains, is not sticky when boiling, has a light texture, and has a mildly sweet flavor. Our Sona Masoori rice is single polished, meaning only one layer of the bran is removed, preserving the majority of the nutrients,and high fiber.
