The pantoprazole gastro-resistant and domperidone ip capsules are used in the treatment of peptic ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The combination of pantoprazole and domperidone inhibits stomach acid production and increases the amount of saliva produced by the mouth, thereby reducing heartburn and gastric acid reflux into the esophagus. Pantoprazole blocks the production of acid in the stomach, thus reducing the pain associated with heartburn, ulcers, and gastritis. The second drug in this combination, domperidone, increases the gastric emptying time and motility of the stomach which helps in relief from constipation.
