At modern we manufacture power transformers of 3.15 MVA to 10 MVA conventional type three phase, 50 Hz, oil immersed, naturally cooled, double wound with copper, step-up / step down, core type continuous duty transformers, designed to withstand short circuit and impulse test.

The temperature rise will be 40 / 50 c in oil / winding respectively over a maximum ambient temperature as per standards. The power transformers will be manufactured as per latest standards complete with fitting / accessories. These power transformers are free breathing type fitted with a conservator with breather for free breathing. The power transformers are filled with transformer oil and further fitted press steel radiators for cooling.

Power transformers is used between the generating plant and the power lines to step-up increase the transmission voltage decrease the transmission current.
