The Rass-Oa -Nil treated metal surface sealed with a finish coat withstood more than 1500 hours of salt spray test, passed the 1.5 kg scratch test, and the adhesion test. Rass-Oa -Nil stringently satisfies ASTM B117 /MIL-C 5541 (USA) and IS: 13515-1992 (Indian Standard). The Rass-Oa -Nil treated metal surface can withstand thermal shock up to 400A C, and random bending up to 180A .

Paint, powder-coating, and other finish coats adhere strongly to the Rass-Oa -Nil treated metal surface, because Rass-Oa -Nil is not a coating over the metal, but a deposit that anchors onto the metala s micro-structure. The Rass-Oa -Nil deposit does not come off even when the metal is bent, punched, drilled or heated up to 400A C.

Rass-Oa -Nil treated metal surfaces, sealed with a finish coat, if left in open atmospheric conditions for years, do not allow rust to creep beneath the sealing coat.
