Reverse Osmosis technology is widely used to treat raw water and wastewater in all types of industrial applications. The scale formation in RO membranes impact the performance of RO plant. This results in low recovery, high consumption of chemicals and power. Hence cleaning of RO membranes is very essential for effective RO performance. RO membrane cleaning chemicals are a blend of specific chemicals in a definite proportion to dissolve and remove the precipitated salts in the RO membranes. It is designed to increase the solubility of natural scale forming salts like Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Phosphate, Silica, Magnesium Sulphate and other Magnesium salts, bio foulants and bio slimming. Once the RO membranes are cleaned well as per the procedure, the performance of the membranes improve and the quantity of permeate water stands incremental. Extended life of RO membranes, improved water recovery, reduction in consumption of cleaning chemicals, savings in power cost and overall improved productivity.
