Following are the Main Features of Sewage Treatment Plant :-
1. PPS innovative STP works on the principle of ECP. The sewage from the equalization tank, where it is thoroughly mixed is pumped into the ECP chamber based on the levels of equalization tank.
2. In the ECP chamber the high electric current passed through the rectifier causes disintegration of the ions and simultaneously releases dissolved gases and coagulates fine colloidal & dissolved organic matter. The sacrificial Aluminum electrode leaches slowly mixes with the chloride with the sewage and forms PAC which is a coagulant.
3. The heavy suspended solid created due to the reaction in the ECP is separated in the tube-settler system which is based on the principle of lamella clarification.
4. The treated sewage is passed through tertiary treatment system which consist of Dual Media Filter (DMF) and Activated Carbon Filter (ACF) to remove the remnant suspended particles. Water thus can be reused for agriculture or flushing purpose.
5. The sludge created from different sources is collected and pumped into the filter press for de-watering of the sludge to form cake.
